About The Position

The Asset Projection Manager is accountable for the overall operation and budget for internal locating of natural gas facilities within the insourced territory at Virginia Natural Gas. The manager overseeing internal locating will currently have (42) direct reports - Locating Supervisors and (6023) indirect reports including all the internal locators. This position is responsible for timely and accurate locating of buried natural gas facilities while minimizing locator at-fault damages. The Asset Protection Manager is responsible for the training and development of the internal locating team. This position is also accountable for damage prevention programs, right-of-way maintenance, submerged crossings, and aerial patrols. Additionally, this position is responsible for communicating damage prevention policy regionally to all internal and external parties through active involvement in forums and meetings on this topic.

Requirements

Experience managing a large team (42 direct reports and 6023 indirect reports).
Experience in internal locating of natural gas facilities.
Knowledge of damage prevention programs.
Experience with right-of-way maintenance.
Experience with submerged crossings.
Experience with aerial patrols.
Strong communication skills for regional policy dissemination.
