The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for observing activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious behavior, collecting investigative evidence using CCTV and floor observations, and following AP Directives and Company policy when making apprehensions. This role also involves executing investigation routines to identify and resolve theft, conducting external interviews, reporting suspected fraud, and managing records for apprehensions, witness statements, evidence, and recovered merchandise. The associate will also assist with internal investigations, proactively identify potential theft and fraud, investigate suspicious behavior, attend court hearings, and analyze intelligence on theft suspects. Additionally, the role supports a safety culture by communicating shrinkage and safety topics, identifying and correcting hazards, providing emergency response, assisting with incident investigations and audits, and coaching associates on safety. The associate must meet established performance standards for service, productivity, and attendance.
