About The Position

Asset Protection Agents are responsible for providing excellent customer service and protecting company assets through activities related to safety, inventory recovery, and the prevention of internal and external theft. They assist in reducing the loss of inventory, time, and assets, and monitor surveillance equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Prior Asset Protection experience in a retail setting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to write reports.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise customer activities in any assigned Goodwill locations to identify potential theft through floor in-store or field surveillance equipment.
  • Complete every investigation report and incident, along with the entire paperwork associated with theft.
  • Maintain documentation of all Asset Protection activities.
  • Conduct audits of any Goodwill location to identify external and internal fraud.
  • Initiate external and internal investigations based on audit outcomes and obtain information from floor personnel.
  • Ensure all responsibilities are completed daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Interact with store management to support them in understanding the Asset Protection department.
  • Maintain professional and amiable relations with local law enforcement agencies to obtain assistance as needed.
  • Supervise and protect store assets, property, clients, and employees by utilizing precise investigative methods.
  • Enforce all security conditions, rules, and regulations at all assigned Goodwill locations.
  • Ensure Goodwill’s locations and employees comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the department in every aspect related to Asset Protection.
  • All other duties as assigned.
