About The Position

Bitdeer is hiring a hands-on Site Asset Manager to oversee capital assets arriving for its AI data center projects in Ohio, including facilities in Clarington and Weathersfield. Based in Massillon, the role spends most of its time at project sites and works alongside construction, operations, and finance teams, with direction from the global Asset Management function. This is an individual contributor position. The Site Asset Manager ensures that capital assets are received, secured, recorded, controlled, and handed over properly to site teams. The role enforces asset controls, manages inventory and reconciliations, applies export-control handling requirements where relevant, and maintains accurate records to support timely capitalization by Finance.

Requirements

Around 5 years of experience in inventory control, material control, warehousing, or asset management.
Hands-on experience running physical counts and reconciliations.
Experience receiving and handling capital equipment or serialized assets.
Working knowledge of an ERP, CMMS, or WMS system, such as SAP, Oracle, or Maximo.
Good Excel skills.
A careful, documented approach and confidence holding others to a process.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Willingness to travel.

Experience on a construction, industrial, or critical-facilities site.
Exposure to export control or trade compliance.
Data center or mission-critical infrastructure experience.
Fixed asset accounting or audit support experience.
Military or government property accountability background.

Responsibilities

Enforce Bitdeer’s asset control requirements on project and construction teams, and check compliance through regular site walk-downs and audits.
Receive, inspect, and secure capital equipment and high-value IT hardware on arrival; raise and follow up damage, shortage, and overage claims.
Tag and register assets correctly against the asset hierarchy so they flow into the capital asset record.
Run cycle counts and investigate variances and reconciliation issues.
Apply export control handling requirements to controlled hardware, including screening checks and records, working with Legal and Internal Compliance teams.
Ensure each project hands over cleanly to site teams by checking the handover package against HQ documentation requirements and contract deliverables.
Maintain accurate asset records for Finance to capitalize assets on time.
Promptly escalate non-compliance to site leadership and Asset Management.
