The Asset Management Associate will be responsible for tracking hardware and software assets, including licenses and configuration items, from acquisition to disposition. This role involves assisting with software license management, defining disposition processes, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The associate will also contribute to defining and managing the Asset & Configuration Management policy and processes, and work with IT service management tools. Key activities include creating and maintaining CMDB and Service Asset Management plans, ensuring CMDB integration with IT service management processes, and collaborating with various IT teams to maintain visibility and ownership of IT services, applications, and infrastructure within the CMDB. The role also involves ensuring integration and automation for populating the CMDB, supporting the IT Change process, improving data accuracy, and contributing expert knowledge to organizational projects. Additionally, the associate will be involved in networking, problem-solving, producing reports and documentation, tracking IT asset inventory, ensuring adherence to IT asset management policies, reporting to management, compiling asset inventory analysis, addressing asset management challenges, and partnering with Procurement. A significant part of the role includes maintaining software license tracking and coordination.
