About The Position

YES Communities is seeking a driven, analytical Asset Management Analyst to join their Finance team. This role will report to the VP of Asset Management and serve as an analytical backbone for the organization. The Asset Management team combines real estate operating knowledge, transaction expertise, and financial rigor to enhance decisions and processes across the company. This position offers hands-on exposure to managing and growing a multi-state portfolio in the manufactured housing asset class. The analyst will build models, benchmarks, and market intelligence to inform decisions, from daily portfolio management to new acquisitions, and will partner with senior team members on investor communications and acquisition recommendations. This is a high-visibility role with a clear path for increased ownership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and how business decisions impact the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience building financial models from scratch.
  • Strong analytical writing skills, able to produce clear, structured investment memos and market write-ups.
  • Comfort working with incomplete or conflicting data, and skill in flagging genuine gaps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence to translate financial concepts for non-finance audiences.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in real estate, especially multifamily or manufactured housing.
  • Experience with IRR, NPV, and other valuation metrics.
  • SQL or Python experience.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Incorta, Tableau, or Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models and decision frameworks to evaluate portfolio decisions and new investment opportunities.
  • Partner with operations to build and refine expense management processes and provide data-backed guidance on cost management.
  • Analyze rent-setting strategy by pulling market comps and modeling NOI impact, and partner with field teams for execution of rent adjustments.
  • Evaluate new markets and acquisition targets, including market fundamentals, competitive supply, and regulatory risk, translating findings into investment memos and underwriting recommendations.
  • Track market and competitor benchmarks, including publicly traded REITs, to keep organizational data and assumptions accurate and current.
  • Prepare high-visibility presentations and reports for executive leadership, board meetings, and investor communications.
  • Support due diligence and capital allocation decisions for new initiatives and investments.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and take on other responsibilities as needed.
