Asset Based Lending Analyst I

The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities. Successfully Complete training program and develop understanding of pitching, structuring, monitoring and executing ABL transactions to targeted Fifth Third clients. Support day-to-day coverage, origination, and transaction management responsibilities for existing and prospective clients including covered Sponsors. Prioritize and support a pipeline of ABL financing opportunities. Support underwriting approval and loan closing processes including loan systems setup and administration and preparation of presentation materials for credit approval. Support monitoring and management of existing deals. Effectively manage time while supporting multiple opportunities, partnerships and routines with key internal deal team members. Apply knowledge of credit analysis, asset-based lending and capital markets activity. Successfully complete all required compliance training.
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Graduating Class of 2027
- GPA 3.3 or higher
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good team interaction capabilities.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Relevant internships and co-op program experience

- Financial & Credit Analysis: Ability to analyze financial statements, assess collateral, and evaluate credit risk for asset-based lending transactions.
- Attention to Detail & Organizational Skills: Essential for preparing loan documentation, credit presentations, and ensuring compliance with policies.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication to work effectively with originations, underwriting, and portfolio teams.
- Time Management & Multitasking: Critical for handling a pipeline of financing opportunities while supporting day-to-day transaction management.
Nice To Haves
- Experience or demonstrated interest in Corporate & Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, and/or Capital Markets a plus.
