Asset Based Finance Platform Associate
About The Position
Sixth Street is seeking a full-time Investing Associate for its Asset Based Finance team, based in New York. The team invests in and originates asset- and platform-based opportunities across financial markets, including residential and commercial mortgages, consumer assets, commercial equipment, renewables and energy finance, infrastructure debt, and transportation. It acts as a strategic capital partner and investor to companies and management teams and provides solutions at scale. The Associate will analyze, underwrite, and execute corporate finance transactions across industries. The role includes conducting due diligence on specialty finance companies and financial institutions, preparing investment materials, monitoring portfolio companies, valuing investments, and working with external counterparties.

Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, including in-depth analysis of specialty finance companies and financial institutions.
- Perform detailed valuation and financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, and comparables analysis.
- Prepare and present due diligence materials, screening materials, and investment committee memoranda.
- Monitor portfolio companies on an ongoing basis and conduct quarterly valuations of investments.
- Interface and negotiate with external counterparties.
- Analyze, underwrite, and execute corporate finance transactions across industries.
