About The Position

Under general supervision and working in the Defending Childhood Initiative (DCI) in the department of Trauma Services, provides diagnostic assessment, crisis intervention and counseling services to children and their families who have witnessed violence or have experienced a traumatic event. Facilitates linkage to appropriate DCI treatment agency upon completion of the DA. Once treatment recommendations are made with the family and a service provider is selected, will serve as a liaison between the family and treatment agency to ensure that linkage to an on-going provided is successful.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or counseling
  • A minimum of one year professionally supervised work in the delivery of mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services.
  • LSW, LISW, PC or PCC required.
