Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing environment. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing or relevant state licensure required.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving inquiry calls and facilitating timely face-to-face assessments or directing callers to appropriate community resources.
  • Conducting or ensuring comprehensive assessments by qualified mental health professionals for individuals presenting with psychiatric, emotional, or substance use concerns.
  • Screening for medical and behavioral emergencies.
  • Providing high-quality therapeutic care.
  • Assisting patients in accessing appropriate treatment for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric disorders.
