About The Position

Cottonwood Spring Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic Assessment Specialist RN to join their team. This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence. Cottonwood Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in Olathe, KS, providing inpatient and outpatient programming for adults facing mental health and addiction challenges. The facility offers inpatient mental health and addiction treatment and detox, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). The Behavioral Health department is described as a fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing or relevant state licensure required
• Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
• Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
