About The Position

Columbus Springs Dublin is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As an Assessment Specialist joining the team, you will be embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This role is crucial in facilitating the response to a request for services, including the initial response, assessment, referral process, designation of the appropriate level of care, admission into services, and appropriate follow-up activity. You will conduct initial evaluations, initiate assessments, document patient symptomatology, functioning, and needs, and provide information to MD for LOC determination. Excellent customer service skills are essential in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers promptly and courteously. A clear understanding of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes, as well as EMTALA, is required. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing or a Master's degree in social work/counseling.
  • Current clinical social work or RN license in the state of OH.
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
  • CPR and CPI certified within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients.

  • Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA.
  • Other duties as assigned.
