About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assessment Copy Editor to join our team. This position requires a professional with exceptional editing abilities and a passion for delivering polished and precise content. As a Copy Editor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of materials for test development programs and other projects. Assessment Systems is a leading provider of robust web-based assessment platforms built upon leading-edge psychometrics. We operate in several market segments where people are assessed on their skills, knowledge, and performance, including Certification/Licensure, Education, and Workforce. Requirements

• Exceptional writing, formatting, proofreading, and copy-editing abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in editing and writing for test development programs.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.
• Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
• At least two years of professional copy editing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in K-12 assessment or learning materials, or in healthcare education/assessment, is a major plus.
• A Bachelor of Arts in English, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proofread, format, and copy edit a variety of assessment items with meticulous attention to detail.
• Edit content specifically for test development programs, adhering to project guidelines.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, and project teams to maintain high-quality standards.
• Evaluate alignment of items to curriculum or assessment blueprints
• Utilize strong computer skills to work efficiently with G Suite, Microsoft Office, and other software tools as needed.
