About The Position

Rivendell Behavioral Health Services is seeking an Admissions and Referral Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role is crucial for the facility's success, requiring the ability to manage diverse situations and patient populations while communicating effectively with referral sources. The RN will provide professional nursing care during the assessment and admission process, continuously assessing patients' physical and behavioral symptoms, documenting data accurately and promptly, and participating in the development and implementation of individual care plans. The position also involves communicating pertinent patient data to other service areas and assisting with responsibilities typically handled by A&R representatives as needed. The Registered Nurse (RN) will operate in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Rules and Regulations of Registered Nurses outlined by the Arkansas Board of Nursing and according to agency operating policies, protocols, and standards.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must hold AR RN license or be license eligible.
  • CPR and Handle with Care/Verbal De-escalation offered upon hire. Mandatory certifications.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with patients, families, visitors and staff.
  • Must be able to work as a team with all staff/coworkers and maintain the ability to treat all patients with respect.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a multitude of situations and patient populations.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with referral sources.
  • Render professional nursing care to patients within the assessment and admission process.
  • Practice ongoing patient assessment through observation of physical and behavioral symptomatology.
  • Document all data accurately in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the formulation of individual care plans for all patients and implement plan according to hospital policy.
  • Communicate pertinent data to other service areas as needed.
  • Encompass responsibilities delegated to A & R representatives as regularly needed.
  • Operate in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Rules and Regulations of Registered Nurses outlined by the Arkansas Board of Nursing and according to agency operating policies, protocols, and standards.
