About The Position

The Assessment Advisor II provides districtwide leadership and operational support for all state and federally mandated assessment programs. This role ensures the secure, accurate, and efficient administration of assessments across schools by delivering training, managing logistics, overseeing compliance with testing regulations, and providing technical support for assessment platforms. The position serves as a key liaison between schools, district leadership, and state education agencies and requires strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, public administration, information systems, or a related field Required
  • 3-5 years of experience in assessment coordination, educational administration, or related operational roles Required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects, including managing timelines, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of digital testing platforms and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of testing security protocols and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities and systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training for school-based testing coordinators, administrators, and proctors on all assessment procedures, policies, and security requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and update training materials, manuals, and guidance documents aligned with state assessment protocols.
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing training sessions as procedures or platforms change.
  • Monitor adherence to all state and district testing security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, corrective actions, and compliance outcomes.
  • Support audits, reviews, and compliance checks in collaboration with district and state stakeholders.
  • Investigate, document, and report testing irregularities and security breaches in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in all state assessment systems and related technical platforms.
  • Provide help desk–level support for schools during testing windows, troubleshooting user, device, and system issues in real time.
  • Monitor platform performance and escalate technical issues as needed.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure technical readiness, including system access, device compatibility, and connectivity.
  • Oversee team tasked with ordering, inventory, secure storage, distribution, and return of assessment materials.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and chain-of-custody documentation for all secure materials.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support schools in proper handling and reconciliation of testing materials.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with school staff, district leaders, and external partners regarding timelines, expectations, and updates.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and responsive support, particularly during high-stakes testing periods.
  • Manage multiple testing programs, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Develop timelines, track progress, and ensure all milestones are met.
  • Maintain detailed records, schedules, and documentation to support efficient operations and compliance.
  • Stay informed of updates to state and federal assessment requirements.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new assessment systems, policies, and technologies.
  • Analyze operational data and stakeholder feedback to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to strengthen assessment administration and compliance.
