About The Position

The Assertive Community Treatment Team Leader will be a full-time Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) with three years of work experience in providing mental health services to adults with serious mental illness. This role involves assisting with the implementation of daily program structure, overseeing treatment and case management services, and ensuring thorough client documentation.

  • Currently approved by a Virginia Board of Counseling as a supervisee in clinical social work or a resident in clinical psychology, professional counseling, substance abuse treatment practice or marriage and family therapy.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience working with individuals with mental health diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of counseling skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of mental health services and agencies.
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnosis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of daily program structure to include treatment and case management services.
  • Ensure that support specialists prepare all reports on client treatment progress.
  • Act as contact person for all client related needs.
  • Provide overall supervision on support specialists, ensuring the teachings of daily living skills and treatment, and implementing the program structure.
  • Assist support specialists with providing thorough and intensive case management to clients.
  • Develop treatment teams to assist with monitoring client’s behavior.
  • Review staff’s documentation and monitoring of client’s status in daily progress notes.
  • Guide support specialist with developing social and daily living skills for clients.
  • Ability to provide transportation to clients as needed.
  • Implement standards of ethics.
  • Act on reports of abuse, abandonment, or other allegations.
  • Assist with the coordination of admission and intake of new clients.
  • Maintain consistent communication with probation officers, social workers, families, community, and referents.
  • Coordinate licensing and guidelines for the community mental health program.
