About The Position

This is a Temp-to-Full-Time Repair Line Assembly position located in Plainfield. The shift is the 2nd shift, from 6:00 PM to 06:00 AM. The work environment is manufacturing, non-climate controlled, with strong plastic smells. The primary responsibilities include removing old plastic inserts from totes, using hand tools to repair damaged or old totes, and potentially pulling old 330-gallon bottles (approximately 50 lbs) for disposal. The role operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs), accurately follows customer order specs and requirements, maintains a clean and organized work area, keeps pace with production targets and deadlines, and focuses on the quality of work, carefully inspecting all assembled parts. The position also requires immediate notification of machine shut downs and repair needs, proper storage and maintenance of production tools and equipment, and adherence to safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Can stand for long periods of time
  • Can reach within hands and arm’s length, bend and stoop, walk, and stand consistently for long periods of time
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs
  • Can withstand manufacturing working condition
  • Background and Drug Screen Required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years of assembly or related manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Remove old plastic insert on the totes as needed
  • Use hand tools to repair damaged or old totes
  • May need to pull the old bottle (330 gal) about 50 lbs, out of the cage for disposal
  • Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Accurately follows customer order specs and requirements
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Keeps up pace with targets and deadlines set for production
  • Focuses on quality of work and carefully inspect all assembled parts before performing passing products down the line
  • Immediately notifies the appropriate employees to report machine shut downs and repair needs
  • Properly stores and maintains production tools and equipment when tasks are complete
  • Follows safety guidelines at all times
