About The Position

This role is responsible for the prepping, assembly, testing, and/or packing of a variety of electrical, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical devices. The position requires the ability to use a variety of tools, gages, machines, and simple measuring devices to ensure proper conformance to specifications and drawings. The job involves upholding safety, quality, and production standards, and may include assembly, finishing, testing, and packing operations. Adjustments to process or product for proper appearance, mechanical, and/or electrical function may be necessary. Employees will follow clearly defined process sheets, verbal instructions, visual aids, or assembly instruction machinery or models to perform specified assembly procedures on a production basis. The role may also involve operating a forklift or other material handling devices, completing orders on time and to specification, and making changes and adjustments to tools, machines, and fixtures. Rejection of defective material and handling material as directed to ensure an uninterrupted flow of work are also key responsibilities. Employees are encouraged to advise on better means to complete functions and continually improve operations. The position requires lifting and transporting light, medium, and heavy assemblies, as well as lifting and transporting containers of component parts on occasion, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Daily clean-up and maintenance of the workstation are also required. Additional duties within the broad scope of the job and/or department may be assigned.
