About The Position

Assembly Workers assemble automotive bumpers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The work involves installing bolts, clips, screws, wires, and other components using hand tools and power drills, then inspecting completed products for proper installation and quality. The role calls for attention to detail, adherence to instructions and safety procedures, consistent productivity, and teamwork. The position is based in Sterling Heights, Michigan, in a unionized workplace. It is full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. Starting pay is $15.50 per hour, increasing to $17.00 per hour after 90 days.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assemble automotive bumpers according to production specifications and work instructions.
Install bolts, clips, screws, wires, and other required components.
Use power drills and other assembly tools safely and effectively.
Inspect assembled products to ensure components are properly installed and meet quality standards.
Follow production schedules and maintain consistent productivity.
Identify and report defective parts, assembly issues, or quality concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
Follow company safety policies and established production procedures.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Perform additional assembly and production duties as assigned.
