About The Position

Assembles a variety of components to create an end product. In this role, you will make an impact by operating manual and automated equipment to assemble product, ensuring proper characteristics and dimensions to meet customer expectations. You will follow standardized work and processes documentation, and participate as a team member to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals. This includes acting as an active team member and potentially taking on team representative responsibilities. You will maintain a clean and orderly work area, perform routine housekeeping and machine cleaning, and conduct planned operator care and maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will perform rework, scrap transactions, external rework transactions, and identify/control nonconforming materials. You will collect, analyze, and display operating data, and use common problem-solving techniques when issues arise. The role involves using material handling equipment such as hoists and forklifts, and complying with departmental, site, and company policies, including proper PPE usage. You will participate in training and personal development, assist in training department personnel, and engage in improvement projects using common problem-solving techniques. Effective communication with your team and support teams is essential. You will maintain housekeeping and safety in work areas, remain flexible to perform other miscellaneous duties as required, complete work with minimal supervision, and operate within a team-based work system, rotating job routines as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Must pass all related testing.
Minimal relevant experience required.
Six months work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks that are defined as part of the production work.
Performs rework, scrap transactions, external rework transactions, identifies and controls materials that are nonconforming.
Collects, analyzes and displays operating data; engages in formal use of common problem-solving technique when issues arise.
Uses material handling equipment including hoists, hoist inspections, and forklifts to move parts and skids.
Knows and complies with departmental, site, and company policies and procedures including the proper wear and use of required personal protective equipment.
Participates in training and personal development; assists in training department personnel.
Participates in improvement projects; uses common problem solving techniques while working alone or in teams.
Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all the support teams.
Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas.
Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
Completes work with minimal supervision.
