About The Position

The primary purpose of Assembly & Test is to provide the capability to assemble and test products at system (whole engine), sub-system, module, and component level and to collect and validate data and pass it back to the design engineering teams to support verification of the product design, for the aerospace, industrial and marine programs. More than 18,000 people work in Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test Operations worldwide making it the largest function within Rolls-Royce.

Requirements

• Working towards a bachelor’s in Aeronautical/or Astronautical Engineering/Technology, Electrical Engineering/or Technology, Industrial Engineering/or Technology, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering/or Technology, Computer Science/or Computer, Engineering/Technology, Data Science /or Data Engineering/Technology, and/or related degree.
• Demonstrate some coursework in one/or more of the following areas: programming languages, electrical engineering, aerodynamics, aerospace systems design, astrodynamics applications.
• Understanding how to interpret data and apply it to a decision or next action step as needed.
• A strong passion for the future of technology.
• A willingness to work flexibly and travel between locations.
• An open-minded, curious, and agile approach to work and career development.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Work authorization eligibility: To be considered, you must be a U.S. Citizen. There is no visa sponsorship for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with drawing/blueprint interpretation
• Prior manufacturing, assembly or test internship/co-op
• Coding Experience within C or C++
• Programming PLCs (programmable logic controllers)/ ladder logic
• Reading electrical schematics and/or one-line diagrams
• Basic troubleshooting for electrical devices or industrial applications
• Any experience with motors and variable frequency drives
