About The Position

Perform technical & mechanical tasks such as grinding, chemical cleaning, process treatments, etc. Safely execute production and service provisions under controlled conditions. Organize work to maintain accountability and traceability. Control and monitoring of critical to quality items. Participation in 5s, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other continuous improvement initiatives. Work independently and as part of a team in a production environment. Maintain proper documentation and traceability for work performed. Carry out assigned production tasks safely and in accordance with company procedures. Read and interpret blueprints and follow documented work instructions. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S practices. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school completion
  • Technical Diploma
  • 1-2 yrs experience assembling small components/hardware installation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and utilize inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, etc.)
  • Ability to work with co-workers and external contacts in a positive and professional manner
  • Strong mathematical, verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Practical problem-solving ability
  • Excellent time keeping/attendance habits. Motivated with a “can-do” attitude
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Natural focus on health and safety, continuous improvement and producing a high quality product in the most efficient manner possible
  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
  • Must pass the Controlled Goods Program security background screening
