About The Position

Midwest Precision is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling precision components and products according to work instructions, engineering drawings, quality requirements, and production schedules. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing high-quality products, and works well in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, scales, or gauges is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and measuring devices safely and effectively.
  • Verify parts and materials before assembly.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Complete required production documentation accurately.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or material shortages to supervision.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Assist in other manufacturing areas as needed.
