About The Position

Perform a variety of operations to assemble parts and components of various products as directed. Ability to read work orders and instructions and use them as guidance for proper assembly of products and product parts. Count and place fully assembled items in boxes, envelopes, and bins after they come off the assembly line, then sort these items into their designated locations. Assemble components and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies using hand tools and power tools, including air guns. Perform quality checks, visually inspect finished units to ensure that units meet specifications and customer order requirements, and complete and maintain proper production records. Notifying appropriate supervision of anomalous parts or components. Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers. Pull and load components slated for assembly onto the line and load fully assembled, boxed products into their designated locations. Pick specified components or parts as indicated. Follow all assembly instructions, written or oral. Maintain a safe and clean work area. Promote team concept. Adhere to all safety procedures. Perform any other related duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Computer literacy
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to assemble without assistance
  • Ability to read and interpret specific instructions
  • Reading Comprehension: understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Mathematics: have a basic grasp of mathematics and know how to read measuring devices to perform required assembly and inspection duties.
  • Attention to detail: ability to spot small defects and potential problems in products.
  • Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
