About The Position

The Assembly Technician performs basic assembly operations on a variety of small- to medium-sized assemblies or subassemblies with rigid tolerance requirements. The role supports the production of quality products that meet customer requirements. Duties include using manual and power tools to position, align, and fit parts; using basic inspection tools and assisting with assembly testing; preparing packages for expediting; entering job-order status information; completing required documentation and accurately reporting labor; and following safety, quality-system, and housekeeping standards. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, with up to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and power tools to position, align, and fit parts to close tolerances, following knowledge of the unit or written or verbal instructions.
• Use basic inspection tools and assist in testing completed assemblies.
• Assist with preparing packages for expediting.
• Enter data to update job-order status.
• Complete required documentation and report labor accurately and on time.
• Comply with safety guidelines, quality-system procedures, and housekeeping standards.
