About The Position

Constructs custom assemblies and fabricates value-added assembly items as needed by customers and for stock. Duties include fabricating and constructing custom stock assemblies by performing plasma cutting, soldering, grinding, painting, electrical wiring, and fabricating hose and tubing. The role involves using general hand and power tools, performing diagnostic and trouble-shooting practices, and interacting with management for scheduling and prioritizing projects. Documentation of new and changed assemblies using digital cameras, computers, scanners, faxes, and electronic drawings is also required, along with testing completed units to prescribed standards.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to walk
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and construct custom stock assemblies

  • Use calculators and charts to determine appropriate components for assemblies
  • Document new and changed custom assemblies using digital cameras, computers, scanners, faxes, and electronic drawings
  • Test completed units to prescribed standards
