About The Position

NW Service Enterprises, Inc. (NWS) Professional Assembly is hiring part-time Assembly Technicians to work on-site at local retail stores such as Home Depot and Lowe’s. Technicians assemble and repair merchandise and displays, including barbecues, wheelbarrows, lawn tractors, work benches, and furniture. Work availability is seasonal and may fluctuate, with demand typically increasing from spring through summer and again during the holidays. Flexible scheduling is available, and the amount of work may vary. After training, compensation transitions to a piece-rate system. New technicians typically average $17 to $25 per hour, while experienced technicians may average more than $30 per hour depending on productivity. Technicians will never earn less than the local minimum wage. The role suits people who enjoy hands-on mechanical work, physical activity, and working independently. Experience is helpful but training is provided.

Requirements

Availability for day shifts or early mornings.
Self-motivated and able to work hard with minimal supervision.
Mechanical aptitude and practical handiness.
Basic hand tools, a cordless screw gun, or an impact driver.
A smartphone and an email address.
Internet access through a smartphone or mobile device.
Ability to pass a background test.
Ability to pass a drug test.
At least 18 years old.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and repeatedly lift more than 50 pounds.

Prior assembly experience; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Assemble and repair products and merchandise using manufacturer instructions and following retailer rules and guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service and build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Check in with retailer management to confirm the build list and inventory.
Generate and complete invoices daily.
Report and communicate effectively with the Area Manager.
Maintain a safe, clean workspace and leave clients with a clean build area.
Perform other responsibilities outlined in the employee handbook.
