Requirements

Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements).
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Comfortable working with your hands, utilizing hand/power tools, and performing mechanical assembly tasks.
Ability to learn or currently possess the ability to read technical blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
Basic math skills are required to verify tolerances.
High level of focus and a commitment to quality. You must care about doing the job right the first time.
Must be able to stand, sit, and use hands/fingers for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and carry moderately heavy parts or toolboxes as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

Assemble, position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using a variety of hand and power tools.
File, lap, and buff parts to ensure a perfect fit between mating components. Position, align, and adjust parts to ensure smooth mechanical operation.
Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications to determine the correct component parts and assembly sequences for complex electromechanical units.
Measure parts to determine exact tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers. Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet strict customer order requirements.
Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies using appropriate materials (grease paddles, oilcans). Attach nameplates and accurately mark identifying information on parts for traceability.
Carefully disassemble units to replace defective parts or to safely crate them for shipping.
