Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Comfortable working with your hands, utilizing hand/power tools, and performing mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Ability to learn or currently possess the ability to read technical blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
  • Basic math skills are required to verify tolerances.
  • High level of focus and a commitment to quality. You must care about doing the job right the first time.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and use hands/fingers for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry moderately heavy parts or toolboxes as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • File, lap, and buff parts to ensure a perfect fit between mating components. Position, align, and adjust parts to ensure smooth mechanical operation.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications to determine the correct component parts and assembly sequences for complex electromechanical units.
  • Measure parts to determine exact tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers. Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet strict customer order requirements.
  • Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies using appropriate materials (grease paddles, oilcans). Attach nameplates and accurately mark identifying information on parts for traceability.
  • Carefully disassemble units to replace defective parts or to safely crate them for shipping.
