About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician, 2nd shift G2 at their new location at 517 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm until 1:30 am and Friday from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm. Please note that during the first approximately 90 days, training will take place on first shift hours. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs.
  • Able to safely and effectively use various hand tools, power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble units.
  • Proficient in standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook and job‑specific software such as Enovia.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial manufacturing experience
  • Experience using hand and air tools.
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Create and install nameplates used in the production of medium- and high-voltage equipment, including indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, power modules, customer service orders, and all related sub-assemblies.
  • Work from manufacturing documentation, including electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or engineering, while following established procedures to ensure accurate nameplate creation.
  • Complete daily productivity and 5S documentation.
  • Maintain minimum Kanban inventory levels, and report shortages, defects, or process updates to the appropriate operators and supervisors.
  • Respond to engineering change notices, customer-requested modifications, and product development needs.
  • Support engineering, drafting, and supervisory teams with customer-initiated development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
