About The Position

Ascentec Engineering is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Pallet Division. As an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of electronic assembly tooling, we are looking for a motivated individual to join our day shift team (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, quick-turn manufacturing environment and possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and hands-on assembly skills. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and contribute effectively as part of a high-performing team. This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 1 year in a production/manufacturing environment highly preferred, but not required
  • Experience installing rivets, studs, standoffs and Heli coils, a plus
  • Able to read and understand project specifications, blueprints and drawings
  • Use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Critical Thinker and Ability to Problem Solve
  • Self-Starter/Self-Motivated/Flexible/Detail oriented

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Work with precision machined parts while assembling, cleaning, deburring, sanding & lapping
  • Use of power and hand tools: chop saw, drills, Dremel, torque drivers, files, pneumatic sanders, etc.
  • Installation of hardware and electromechanical assemblies
  • Preventative maintenance for selected handheld tools
  • Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures and dial gauges
  • Other tasks as defined by leadership
