About The Position
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for performing various assembly tasks in a manufacturing plant environment. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in math and computer skills, and the ability to interpret documentation and blueprints. The technician will work with hand tools, identify parts, and build from provided prints, while also performing inventory calculations and weight measurements. The position involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and may expose the employee to loud noises or fumes, with appropriate PPE provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in math for inventory calculations and weight measurements.
- Strong reading and comprehension skills for interpreting documentation and work orders.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to learn and adapt to new software tools.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to read job travelers and check significant components.
- Ability to operate essential hand tools (i.e., hammer, screwdriver, pliers, drill, etc.).
- Ability to identify parts and build from prints provided.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use the decimal system.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while remaining stationary for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions, including hot or cold environments.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Nice To Haves
- Prior warehouse or material handling experience.
- Experience with basic inventory systems and kitting processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
