About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician, 1st Shift. The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. CORE HOURS: Monday through Thursday from 5:00AM until 3:00PM. As an Assembly Technician, you will create or place name plates in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these. Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or engineering and to established procedures in order to create correct name plates for units. Fill out productivity and 5S sheets daily. Maintain minimum levels of Kanban inventory and report shortages, defects, and updates to appropriate operators and supervisors. Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs. Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a lean environment.
  • Proficiency with standard computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Teams) and job-specific systems such as Enovia.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and material manipulation.
  • Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs or more.
  • May be required to operate material-handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles.
  • Must meet vision requirements, including near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • 3 months of experience using hand and air tools.
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.
