Assembles and tests electronic products having both hardware and software systems. Works as directed on daily work assignments to meet customer commitments. Follows Operations Methods Sheets in order to build product properly and minimize errors. Uses written and verbal communication to relate equipment and process information to other team members and support functions. Changes direction to accommodate work priorities as needed. Performs visual inspection of all components and finished subassemblies and finish products to specified criteria to ensure high quality. May work in other work centers and/or departments. Mechanical assembly of products can include: Mechanical assembly of sheet metal enclosures, simple soldering, strip and tin wires, wire to solder cups in connectors, install hardware where needed, follow prints, operation of light machinery, pre-testing of equipment before assembly, and cycling of equipment through electronic and environmental testing equipment. This position requires physical attendance at assigned job site, typically PacStar OPS Center. Other duties as assigned.
