About The Position

In the Assembly Technician position, you will assemble, wire, and modify components in accordance with established guidelines for manufacturing medium- and high‑voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies. This includes breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and associated sub‑assemblies. Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or team leads, following established procedures. Complete ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists as required for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering. Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations as needed. Regularly lift, handle, and assemble components that include heavy copper parts. Report material shortages to the appropriate Kanban inventory operators. Inspect all assemblies to ensure hardware is secure, components are complete, and products meet cleanliness standards. Respond to change notices, customer‑requested adjustments, and development needs. Support engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer‑driven development activities. Effectively train and coach colleagues to support knowledge sharing and skill development. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Skilled in the safe and efficient use of hand tools and pneumatic (air) tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job‑specific systems such as ENOVIA.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
