About The Position

Summit Truck Bodies, LLC, a quality manufacturer of custom designed service and lube truck bodies, is expanding its workforce due to increasing sales. The General Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly of the body and all truck components. We are looking for a motivated team player who is committed to producing a high-quality product on time and safely.

Requirements

Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
Normal range of hearing and vision.
Able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
Must be able to proficiently read a tape measure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Detail oriented.
Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with basic hydraulic and electrical systems is preferred.
Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Hands-on experience working with tools, equipment, or machinery and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues is desired.

Responsibilities

Prepare work to be accomplished by studying work order, bill of materials and blueprints.
Position and secure components per print locations.
Fit and secure components using hand and power tools.
Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Maintain and wear all required personal protective safety equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
