About The Position

This position is for 2nd shift. Hours are Monday - Friday 3:12pm - 11:59pm. Under direction of leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings and/or specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established. Perform similar duties assisting with engine test operations and performing component and accessory tests as assigned. Use overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to perform the mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules and related components. Obtain parts, check details for conformance to assembly requirements and fit and measure components to assure overall dimensions are within limits specified. Use mechanic’s hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installation of details and maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas. Provide related support for test operations and assist with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules. Perform similar duties to assist with co-producer, customer support or other similar programs, retrofit projects and to accommodate new engine programs and assist with changes in specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent & formal training in a specialized field achieving A&P license or equivalent OR 4 years of technical high school including technical post high school certification and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an aerospace mechanic or A&P mechanic preferred.
  • 3 + years avionics mechanic experience.
