About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician III, 1st Shift at 415 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. The rate for this position is $20.94 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. The Assembler III is responsible for meeting daily production targets with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management, and productivity. This role involves assembling Low Voltage Assemblies and performing all related tasks, including those assigned to Assembler I and Assembler II (Flex and Lean), as well as operating assembly machinery. Additional duties include PowerWave2 hi-pot testing, label creation, quality verification, and completing material transactions in AS400. May be required to obtain or maintain QEW certification to perform electrical testing on assemblies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience
  • 1 year of experience using hand and air tools
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration with team members.
  • Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe workplace (5S+).
  • Able to work independently with minimum direction.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, adjust, or repair components using a variety of tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment; perform layout work and operate tools such as drills, saws, punches, riveters, caulking, and painting equipment as needed.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings; follow standard operating procedures, method sheets, and both written and verbal instructions from supervisors.
  • Perform visual inspections and quality checks before, during, and after assembly to ensure all products meet specifications; apply identification labels to completed assemblies.
  • Support production flow by retrieving and delivering materials, preparing assemblies for shipment or storage, and completing associated material transactions.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and WSRA requirements.
  • Provide support across production areas.
