About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II, 2nd Shift at our new location at 517 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC 29649. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm until 1:30 am and Friday from 3:30 pm until 7:30 am. Please note that during the first approximately 90 days, training will take place on first shift hours. This position is eligible for a variable pay incentive program. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Skilled in the knowledge and safe use of hand and air tools.
  • 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience
  • Basic Computer Skills

  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
  • Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, wires, and modifies work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.
  • Works to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures.
  • Fills out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
  • Mounts and installs electrical equipment and performs wire operations as needed.
  • Regularly lifts and assembles with heavy copper parts.
  • Reports shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory.
  • Inspects all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
  • Responds to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
  • Assists engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
  • Trains and coaches colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
