About The Position

As an Assembly Technician II on our growing team, you are contributing to the success of the company by safely and efficiently troubleshooting and installing mechanical items on dump trucks and trailers. OSW Equipment & Repair is the largest truck body and trailer manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest and has been in business for over 20 years. OSW Equipment & Repair manufactures products for the construction, transportation, industrial, and mining industries. OSW Equipment & Repair is a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation’s Truck Bodies Equipment International group.

Requirements

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
  • Ability to learn and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs including pump valves, cylinders, etc.
  • Must be comfortable with electrical trouble shooting.
  • Must have wrenching experience.
  • Must be comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder, air tools etc.
  • Must be eager to learn, have a good work ethic, and be able to accept responsibility for work performed.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) is preferred.
  • Leadership skills desired.

Responsibilities

  • Drill holes in steel frames and bolt on parts.
  • Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses.
  • Zip tie wires and take accurate measurements.
  • Electric & Hydraulic connection / plumbing.
  • Basic understanding of air systems & operations.
  • Basic welding.
  • Console Installation.
  • Pump Installation.
  • Large assembly installation such as tanks and saddles etc.
  • Touch up paint.
  • Body electrical outfit.
  • Other duties as assigned.
