About The Position

Assembly Technicians work in a hands-on environment performing a variety of tasks to support the engineering, manufacturing, and production teams. Daily responsibilities may include mechanical assembly, receiving support, composites manufacturing, production, packaging and shipping, and facility maintenance. The Assembly Technician I reports to the Lead Technician.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools and basic mechanical aptitude
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Typically possesses 1+ year of experience in a technical field and/or construction, electrical, plumbing, or facility maintenance
  • Demonstrates exceptional work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Physical requirements include moderate physical and repetitive work, standing for extended periods, use of stairs, and occasional heavy lifting
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly according to verbal and written instructions, including fastening, bonding, and riveting
  • Support production assembly, manufacturing efforts, and maintenance projects as needed
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Use chemicals, adhesives, and solvents as required
  • Work within the ERP (Epicor) system to track jobs and schedule work
  • Assist with packaging and shipping of hardware and equipment
  • Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions
  • Other duties as required
