About The Position

The Assembly technician works in the Assembly department. This includes, but is not limited to installing netting, installing covers, installing label, boxing, tub building, bed assembly, product management and more. Performs all of these responsibilities while creating a safe work environment for him/her and all other technicians.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of PC usage required to include using a mouse, Microsoft Windows and data entry operations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where standardization exists.
Ability to prepare routine reports as required.
Be able to work overtime on short notice.

Nice To Haves

Fork Truck certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Install netting, covers, and labels.
Perform boxing and tub building.
Assemble beds and manage products.
Wrap mattresses with protective covering and sew ends.
Insert wrapped mattresses into textile packaging.
Seal covered mattresses, label, and package for shipping.
Box and strap finished mattresses for shipping.
Operate automated assembly equipment using HMI controls.
Perform manual equipment operation or troubleshooting.
Maintain and clean assigned work area.
Perform quality inspections at every step to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Use inventory management scanners and participate in inventory.
Learn and carry out netting, covers, boxing, covers, zipper, and labels per written processes and procedures.
Understand and acknowledge pro-to-type paperwork and craftsmanship inspection per written processes and procedures.
Assist in providing training to other associates while following outlined processes and procedures.
Work at different stations as production needs require.
Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents.
Lead by example, representing the company’s mission, vision, and values and promoting a positive environment.
Maintain high quality, efficient operation of product and equipment.
Assist with other tasks associated with Assembly.
