About The Position
Louisiana Cat is seeking an Assembly Technician-Electrical to join our growing operations at the New Iberia, LA location. The role of the Assembly Technician- Electrical is to ensure assigned packaging performance objectives are met safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or (GED) equivalent
- Capable of understanding electrical schematics and recognizing basic electrical components
- Basic wireman skills
- Able to use and understand a digital multi-meter
- Capable of routing marine and petroleum armor cable and terminating in panels
- Capable of bending conduit and stainless steel tubing
Nice To Haves
- 2 year degree or equivalent electrical experience
Responsibilities
- Electrical wiring of control panels, harnesses and interconnected equipment for engines and generators to meet customer requirements
- Understand technical drawings, specifications of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
- Inspect completed power system and controls installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards
- Determine nature, extent and troubleshoot issues, and recommend remedial measures
- Utilizes corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to enter time and project notes
- Follow and enforce all safety rules and procedures; identify and report all safety issues
- Complete training requirements identified by Caterpillar to earn and maintain job specific training certifications as required
- Embrace and support quality management system initiates to achieve a continuous improvement environment
