About The Position

The Assembly Technician 1 is responsible for producing, assembling, inspecting, and packing product in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role requires meeting or exceeding production and quality standards while minimizing scrap to ensure customer satisfaction. The technician will also be responsible for moving materials, maintaining production records, and ensuring all quality standards are met through visual inspection and the use of measuring devices. Additionally, the role involves determining daily production needs, scheduling product accordingly, and working safely at all times. The technician is expected to keep their work area clean and orderly, perform necessary computer transactions, and offer suggestions for improvement. Teamwork and a willingness to resolve problems with others are essential.

Responsibilities

Produce (assemble, inspect, pack) product in accordance with SOP’s, meeting or exceeding production and quality standards while minimizing scrap to customer satisfaction.
Using a variety of different ways or means, move materials as required, work with material handlers.
Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, maintenance, hour by hour chart completion.
Mack Volvo downpack and assembly
Ensure that all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and/or with measuring devices
Determine production needs for the day within the area, schedule product accordingly.
Meet or exceed production requirements or notify Team Lead or Manager of reason of deviation from standard
Work safely at all times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices
Keep work area, equipment, machine, etc. clean and orderly at all times
Perform necessary computer transactions in various computer applications and software programs
Offer suggestions and assist in implementation for improving productivity, process safety and work environment.
Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager or other designated person
Perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems.
