This entry-level role focuses on learning and mastering one or more assembly processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The position requires attention to detail, ability to follow standard work instructions, and commitment to continuous improvement practices such as 5S. This position is part of the Operations located in East Greenbush, NY and will be on-site. In this role, a typical day will look like: Perform assembly for most processes within one cell, focusing on mechanical and electrical integration. Own and execute 1–2 tasks within a specific assembly process (e.g., optic assembly: dismount and assemble all optic types for the product line). Use hand and power tools to assemble subcomponents and final instruments. Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Complete travelers, paperwork, and maintain accurate records of assembly activities. Adhere to manufacturing and quality control standards, including routine visual inspections and documented verification. Participate in 5S activities and maintain an organized work area. Conduct basic tests and support kanban processes. Report and assist with Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Product Follow-Ups (PFUs). Manage inventory by dropping kanban cards and refilling bins as needed. Support routine cleaning and maintenance of the work area. Follow compliance and safety standards related to radiation and equipment handling. Perform basic troubleshooting for common issues within assigned tasks. Seek assistance promptly when encountering problems beyond scope.
