Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Kitting & Assembly Material Handler in Cartersville, GA. In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for building assemblies from blueprints, executing precise kitting processes, and supporting inventory control inside a modern manufacturing facility. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and written job instructions.
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic computer systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, or ERP tools).
- Strong math skills, including comfort with decimal system calculations and weight measurements.
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, lifting up to 25–50 lbs as needed.
- Excellent communication, high attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Reading job travelers, work orders, and blueprints to identify parts and verify significant components.
- Assembling components using basic hand tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers).
- Measuring components and materials accurately using a tape measure and the decimal system.
- Performing precise math and inventory calculations for kitting processes and weight measurements.
- Utilizing ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and Google Workspace to track materials and document tasks.
- Operating safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
