About The Position

This position is responsible to wash, dry, pick and place parts in preparation for assembly as the production schedule dictates. The role involves performing various tasks on the assembly/production floor to ensure the quality and timely preparation of components for the assembly of key components used in commercial and refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

  • Able to work overtime for preventative maintenance activities.
  • Be to work on time and daily.
  • Ability to effectively meet and communicate with colleagues, the public and vendors.
  • Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion and sound judgment.
  • Good written communication skills and effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collectively with others within the organization.

  • Ability to read and recognize parts and part numbers and place them in the correct orientation/location.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all prescribed and standard SAFETY regulations including wearing PPE at all appropriate times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to and improving upon 5S standards.
  • Perform the operations of washing and drying parts, picking, and placing parts according to the production schedule.
  • Ensure the chemical levels of the wash water are maintained at appropriate levels.
  • Perform inspections of parts to ensure the quality of finished compressors.
  • Engrave/Stamp serial numbers into compressor housings and match with production traveler.
  • Perform assembly operation for sub-assemblies (bearing caps, oil pumps, etc.).
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
