Requirements

  • Hold current certification(s) specific to department
  • Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull heavy objects
  • Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors
  • Ability to work with hands for an extended period
  • Knowledge of the department area
  • Ability to communicate, empathize, resolve conflict, patience, and tolerance
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools and heavy machinery
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma, GED, or related work experience
  • Previous manufacturing and leadership experience preferred
  • Previous fiberglass experience helpful

Responsibilities

  • Recap any updates with Supervisor following team huddle
  • Know and understand each role within the department
  • Get outside department contacts involved when necessary
  • Point of contact in department when Supervisor is unavailable
  • Report any findings, issues, observations to the Supervisor
  • Support system for employees
  • Delegate where employees should be working throughout the shift
  • Attend Team Leader Training and train new employees
  • Engineering point of contact for questions and/or trials
  • Conduct walk-throughs with candidates when supervisor is unavailable
  • Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain 5s standards
