About The Position

The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations and leading a team of Assembly operators to ensure efficient workflow. This role focuses on streamlining processes to improve productivity while maintaining high-quality standards. The Assembly supervisor monitors performance, addresses production challenges, and ensures that output targets are consistently met. Additionally, this position promotes a safe work environment and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the Assembly department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; HACCP certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly production environment.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production setting (e.g., Supervisor, Lead, or Team Lead).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with continuous improvement practices (e.g., Lean manufacturing) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily assembly line operations, including managing Leads and Assembly Operators, assigning tasks based on production schedules, and ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are available and functioning properly.
  • Support onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of Assembly Leads and Operators, providing clear and constructive feedback to improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall team performance.
  • Build strong team relationships through consistent communication, regular stand-up meetings, and real-time feedback on assembly progress, production issues, and workflow updates.
  • Promote a positive, safety-focused, and quality-driven work environment that aligns with company values while encouraging accountability, teamwork, and engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvement across assembly processes by identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and implementing lean manufacturing practices to optimize line performance.
  • Manage assembly-stage inventory, including components, subassemblies, and finished goods, ensuring accurate tracking and alignment with production requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Assembly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI), coordinate equipment maintenance, and adjust assembly processes as needed to maintain product quality and throughput.
  • Maintain and expand technical knowledge of assembly processes, tools, and equipment through ongoing training, industry best practices, and professional development opportunities.
  • Regular attendance is required. This is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance.
