About The Position

Assembles a variety of components to create an end product. Operates manual and automated equipment to assemble product, ensuring proper characteristics and dimensions to meet customer expectations. Follows standardized work and processes documentation. Participates as a team member to operate and manage assembly to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals. Maintains a clean and orderly work area, performs routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks, and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks. Performs rework, scrap transactions, external rework transactions, and identifies and controls nonconforming materials. Collects, analyzes, and displays operating data, and engages in formal problem-solving techniques when issues arise. Uses material handling equipment, including hoists, hoist inspections, and forklifts to move parts and skids. Complies with departmental, site, and company policies and procedures, including the proper wear and use of required personal protective equipment. Participates in training and personal development, and assists in training department personnel. Participates in improvement projects and uses common problem-solving techniques. Communicates effectively with the assigned team and support teams. Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas. Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties as required. Completes work with minimal supervision. Operates within a team-based work system and rotates job routines as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Must pass all related testing.
  • Minimal relevant experience required.
  • Six months work experience preferred.
  • Overtime is mandatory and 6-7 days a week are based on the needs of the business.
  • Working from heights with fall training will be required.
  • Able to use breathable air if assigned to areas requiring.
  • The criteria for open positions will be based on geographic area seniority.
  • Where more than one employee has the same geographical area seniority date, seniority will be determined by alphabetical rank of their last name, at the time of hiring.
  • All bids and/or de-selections must be submitted in MYHR by 7:00 am on POSTING REMOVAL DATE.
  • Bids arriving late will NOT be honored.
  • Successful applicants will move on the 3rd Monday after selections are posted.
  • Probationary employees are not eligible to bid on this posting.
  • Employees who are successful bidders will not be eligible to bid again for twelve (12) months from the effective move date.
  • Employees eligible to be considered under the 24 hour eligibility criteria may bid on job regardless of bid rights, UNLESS that employees has already been a successful candidate on a previous 24 hour bid posting, then the employee is locked in for 12 months and cannot bid on another 24 hour bid posting during those 12 months.
  • Employees that are bidding on a position outside of their current geographical area MUST submit an application AND a resume in MYHR no later than 7:00 am of the POSTING REMOVAL DATE.
