About The Position

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is an onsite role in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The work schedule involves 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of overtime as needed to meet customer demand. The role focuses on safely completing assembly tasks, positioning parts according to blueprints or unit specifications, and fastening parts using various fasteners. It also involves removing small amounts of metal with hand tools and operating hand tools, small presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to aid in the assembly process.

Requirements

High School or equivalent
Able to read 2 or 3 syllable words and recognize similarities/differences between words and/or numbers
Able to print
Able to add, subtract 2-digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10 or 100 accurately
Able to understand U.S. currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance
Candidates must have a work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Safely complete tasks and participate in team safety programs
Position parts according to unit being assembled or follow blueprint
Fastens parts together with bolts, washers, screws, speed, clips, rivets, or other fasteners
Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts
Operate hand tools, small presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation
